पाकिस्तान में
सूफी विरासत को मिटाने का सिलसिला जारी है। चाहे वो सूफियाना कलाम गाने वाले गायक
हों या सूफी संतों की दरगाहें हों, लगातार वहाबियों व तालिबानी आतंकवादियों का
निशाना बन रही हैं। 45 साल के अमजद साबरी 22 जून 2016 को इसी टारगेट किलिंग का
शिकार बने। वहाबियों का सीधा सा फंडा है, पैगंबर और उनके परिवार का जिक्र करने
वाले सूफी गायकों, शायरों और सूफी संतों की दरगाहों को अगर मिटा दिया गया तो इन
लोगों का नामलेवा कोई नहीं बचेगा। लेकिन कट्टरपंथी यह भूल जाते हैं कि किसी को
मारने से उस विचारधारा का खात्मा नहीं होता। वह और भी जोरदार तरीके से नए रूप में
वापसी करती है।
अमजद साबरी के
साथ भी तो यही हुआ। कहां तो अमजद को हमेशा कैरम और क्रिकेट खेलने का शौक रहा लेकिन
विरासत में मिली जिम्मेदारी को निभाने के लिए उन्हें कव्वाल बनना पड़ा। ...और वो न
सिर्फ बने बल्कि मरते दम तक वो पाकिस्तानी यूथ के आइकन थे।
क्रिकेट के खेल
में मस्त अमजद को एक दिन उनके पिता फरीद गुलाम साबरी पकड़कर लाए और कहा, मेरे अपने
चाचा के साथ बैठकर रियाज किया करो। उस दिन से अमजद ने पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा लेकिन
उनका क्रिकेट खेलने का शौक अंत तक जारी रहा। यही वजह थी कि कराची में 23 जून को
अमजद के जनाजे में उमड़ी भीड़ में युवकों की तादाद ज्यादा थी। अमजद की मौत पर पूरा
भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप और जहां-जहां उनके चाहने वाले थे, निहायत रंजों-गम में डूब गए।
साबरी घराने का
ताल्लुक भारत से है। हरियाणा के भिवानी जिले की चरखी दादरी तहसील में कलियाणा गांव
से साबरी परिवार 1947 में भारत-पाकिस्तान बंटवारे के वक्त पाकिस्तान कूच कर गया
था। भारत से पाकिस्तान गए इन लोगों को आज भी मुहाजिर (रिफ्यूजी) बोला जाता है। ये
लोग पाकिस्तान बड़ी उम्मीदों से पहुंचे थे लेकिन वहां इन्हें अपने शुरुआती दिन
बहुत ग़रीबी में बिताने पड़े। इसी दौर में गुलाम फरीद साबरी की ज़ुबान पर ये कलाम
- भर दो झोली मेरी
या मोहम्मद, लौट के न जाउंगा खाली – आया और साबरी ब्रदर्स भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में
छा गए। इसके बाद तो उन्होंने एक से एक कव्वालियां पेश कीं और उन्होंने इस
क्षेत्र में एक इतिहास रच दिया।
पिता और चाचा के निधन के बाद अमजद पर इस विरासत को संभालने की पूरी
जिम्मेदारी आन पड़ी। अमजद की आवाज अपने पिता व चाचा से बहुत भिन्न नहीं थी तो अमजद
के पैर भी आसानी से इस क्षेत्र में जम गए। तब तक कव्वाली भी महफिलों से निकलकर
टीवी पर आ गई। अमजद ने अमीर खुसरो, निजामुद्दीन औलिया, ख्वाजा मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती
के कलाम को नए अंदाज में पेश किया और वो बहुत जल्द पाकिस्तान के यूथ की पहचान बन
गए। संगीत की दुनिया में नुसरत फतेह अली खान, राहत फतेह अली खान के बाद अगर किसी
की पहचान थी तो वो अमजद साबरी ही थे।
मई 2014 में उन्होंने जियो टीवी पर एक कार्यक्रम पेश किया। इस कार्यक्रम के
होते ही पाकिस्तान में कट्टरपंथियों ने शोर मचा दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि जियो पर इस
कार्यक्रम को बंद कराया जाए और ईश निंदा (Blasphemy ) कानून के तहत अमजद साबरी, जियो टीवी के
मालिक, एंकर, और शायर अकील मोहसिन नकवी पर केस दर्ज किया जाए। इसी के बाद से अपने
पिता की तरह ही अमजद पर आतंक का साया मंडराने लगा। अमजद की खासियत थी कि वो महज
कव्वाल नहीं थे। वो मूलतः एक शायर थे, जो पैगंबर की शान में, उनके परिवारों वालों
की शान में, कर्बला की शान में तमाम रचनाएं पढ़ते थे। जिस दिन अमजद साबरी की हत्या
हुई, उसी दिन कराची में ही कुछ घंटे बाद भारतीय मूल के प्रसिद्ध नौहाख्वान फरहान
अली वारिस की कार पर भी गोलियां बरसाईं गईं। उस वक्त वो कार में नहीं थे। फरहान
अली वारिस पिछले साल लखनऊ, फैजाबाद के कई कार्यक्रमों में आ चुके हैं। वहाबी
कट्टरपंथियों को हर वो इंसान नापसंद है जो उनकी नीति के हिसाब से नहीं चलता।
पाकिस्तान के कट्टर मौलवियों ने इस पूरे पाकिस्तान को इसी आग में झोंक दिया है। इन
मौलवियों का हीरो मुल्ला उमर जैसा शख्स है।
साबरी ब्रदर्स समेत तमाम कलाकार, लेखक, शायर पाकिस्तान में बहुत बुरे दौर
से गुजर रहे हैं। वक्त ने साबरी ब्रदर्स का बार-बार इम्तेहान लिया है। 1977 में
पाकिस्तान में जुल्फिकार अली भुट्टो की चुनी हुई सरकार को अपदस्थ करके जनरल जिया
उल हक ने सत्ता संभाली और पाकिस्तान में मार्शल लॉ लगा दिया। जिया उल हक चूंकि
वहाबी विचारधारा को मानता था इसलिए उसने फौरन पाकिस्तान को कट्टर इस्लामिक देश में
बदलने का फैसला किया। पाकिस्तान में 1978 से 1988 तक काला दौर रहा। साबरी ब्रदर्स से कहा गया कि वे अपने
सूफियाना कलाम में सिर्फ पैगंबर का जिक्र करें, उनके परिवार के अन्य लोगों का
नहीं। साबरी ब्रदर्स ने पाकिस्तान की महफिलों में गाना छोड़ दिया और तब उनके
कार्यक्रम अमेरिका, भारत में बहुतायत में होने लगे। इसी दौर में -बोल की लब आजाज
हैं- और -हम देखेंगे, लाज़िम है कि हम भी देखेंगे- जैसा तराना लिखने वाले मशहूर
शायर फैज़ अहमद फैज़ को भी पाकिस्तान छोड़कर बेरूत में राजनीतिक शरण लेनी पड़ी।
यानी उस दौर में जिसने भी जिया उल हक की कट्टर वहाबी विचारधारा का विरोध किया, उसे
पाकिस्तान छोड़ना पड़ा।
...लेकिन पाकिस्तान जिस रास्ते पर बढ़ चुका था, उससे पीछे नहीं पलटा। बाबा
फरीद की मज़ार, दाता दरबार की दरगाह समेत पाकिस्तान में सूफी संतों की मजारों को
चुन-चुनकर वहाबी कट्टरपंथियों ने निशाना बना रहे हैं। यह क्रम पिछले कई दशक से
जारी है। इनमें वो हत्याएं शामिल नहीं हैं जिनमें अहमदियों, शियों, ईसाईयों,
हिंदुओं व अन्य अल्पसंख्यकों को निशाना बनाया गया। वहां फौजी शासक या हुकुमतें
बदलती रहीं लेकिन उसके डीएनए में कट्टरपंथ का जो बीज बोया गया था, उससे उसकी वापसी
नहीं हुई। बहरहाल, अमजद का बेटा मुजदिद
साबरी औऱ भाई तल्हा साबिरी अमजद की विरासत संभालने को तैयार हैं। सूफी गायिका
आबिदा परवीन ने कहा है कि हालांकि अब अमजद जैसा दूसरा पैदा नहीं होगा लेकिन मुझे
उनके बेटों से उम्मीद है कि वो परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाएंगे।
